Overview

Safe Passwords & More is a self-hosted application designed for the secure management of sensitive personal and professional information.

The system allows users to store and organize structured records such as bank accounts, payment cards, email credentials, internet services and other confidential information in a controlled and private environment.

Unlike cloud-based password managers, Safe Passwords & More runs entirely on infrastructure chosen and managed by the user. No external cloud services, analytics platforms or tracking systems are used by the application.

The software is designed for individuals, professionals and small organizations who want to manage sensitive information while maintaining full control of their infrastructure and stored data.

Record Categories

The application organizes information into the following categories:

• Bank – bank accounts and financial information
• Card – payment card records

Each category follows the same workflow:

Create → View → Edit → Delete

Security Model

Sensitive information is encrypted before being stored in the database.

As a result:

• sensitive information is not stored in plain form
• database access alone is not sufficient to read stored records
• hosting providers cannot interpret encrypted information

Encryption keys are derived from user-controlled credentials and are not stored by the application.

The system is designed to protect stored data while maintaining a simple and predictable user experience.

Self-Hosted Architecture

Safe Passwords & More runs entirely inside the hosting environment chosen by the administrator.

The application does not rely on external services and does not transmit data to third-party infrastructure.

All application data remains inside the administrator’s server environment.

System Requirements

• PHP 8.0 or newer
• MariaDB or MySQL
• Apache, Nginx or compatible web server

Installation

Installation is performed through the included installer.

1. Download the installation package
2. Extract the .zip archive
3. Upload the installer to the server
4. Open the installer in a browser
5. Follow the guided installation procedure

During installation the application core is securely retrieved and deployed automatically.

Multi-User Environment

A single installation can host multiple users.

Each user operates in an isolated data space and can access only their own records.

The administrator is responsible for creating and managing user accounts.
