CheckFile is an offline Windows desktop tool designed to check, diagnose and optimize common document and image files. It helps users inspect Excel, Word, PowerPoint, PDF and image files, reduce oversized image files, create optimized copies, and keep the original files unchanged.

The tool is built for users who need a simple, private and lightweight file checking workflow without uploading files to any cloud service. All processing is performed locally on the user's computer.

• Windows 10 or Windows 11
• Python 3.10 or newer is required only if building from source
• Inno Setup is required only if rebuilding the installer
• No internet connection is required for normal file processing
• Recommended RAM: 4 GB or higher
• Recommended storage: 200 MB free disk space or higher

1. Download and extract the main ZIP package.
2. Open the package folder and run the included Windows installer.
3. Launch CheckFile from the Start Menu or desktop shortcut.
4. Select the files you want to check or optimize.
5. Choose the required options such as file checking, diagnostics or image compression.
6. Run the process and review the result list.
7. Use the generated optimized copies if needed. Original files remain unchanged.
