Instructions
1. Upload Files to Your Server
Unzip the downloaded file on your computer. You will see folders like app, config, database, public, resources, routes, storage, and vendor.
Upload all files to your web server using FTP, cPanel File Manager, or your hosting control panel. Make sure the files go into the folder you want to run the site from.
Set your domain or subdomain document root to the public/ folder inside the project. This is required for security and is standard for Laravel applications.
2. Set Folder Permissions
The web server needs write access to storage/ and bootstrap/cache/. In cPanel you can set permissions to 755 or 775. If you have shell access, run the commands below.
3. Run the Web Installer
Go to your domain. The installer will auto-detect if setup is needed and redirect you to /install.
The installer checks your PHP version and required extensions. If anything is missing, contact your hosting provider to enable it.
Choose SQLite for the easiest setup (no database config needed). Or enter your MySQL host, database name, username, and password.
Enter your name, email, and password. This becomes the first admin user who can manage everything.
Click install. The system will create tables, seed default data, and log you into the admin dashboard automatically.
4. Manual Setup (Optional)
Developers can install manually using Composer and Artisan commands. Run the following in the project root:
After migration, register the first user through the web interface at /admin/register. The first user automatically becomes an admin.
5. After Installation
Visit /admin and log in with the admin account you created. The Filament dashboard is where you manage products, users, sales, and settings.
Go to Settings and set your store name, currency, and default tax rate. These appear on receipts and reports.
Use the Products menu to add items with SKU, barcode, price, stock, and tax rate. Or import in bulk using the CSV templates in public/samples/import/.
Enable the payment types your store accepts: cash, card, and/or customer credit. You can configure these under POS Settings.
Add users with the Cashier role so your staff can open shifts and process sales. Keep the Admin role for managers and owners.
Navigate to the POS Terminal page. Cashiers open their shift, scan products, and start selling immediately.
