Requirements
- PHP 8.3 or higher
- MySQL 5.7+ / MariaDB 10.3+
- Apache or Nginx with URL rewriting enabled (mod_rewrite)
- PHP extensions: BCMath, Ctype, cURL, DOM, Fileinfo, Mbstring, OpenSSL, PDO, PDO_MySQL, Tokenizer, XML, GD, Zip
- Ability to point the domain/subdomain document root at the app (or use the included .htaccess for shared hosting)
- Around 60 MB of disk space
Instructions
Installation (web installer — no coding):
- Upload and extract the package into your web directory (or the
public_htmlof your domain/subdomain). - Make sure your document root points to the
publicfolder, or use the included rewrite so the app runs from the project root. - Create an empty MySQL database and a database user with full privileges on it.
- Open your site in a browser — you will be taken to the installer automatically.
- Follow the wizard: Requirements → Database → Setup → Admin Account → Company → Finish.
- Log in with the administrator account you created and start using HireBoard.
Getting started after install:
- Open Settings and set your company name, logo and timezone.
- Configure your SMTP details under the Mail settings so the app can send emails.
- Add your team members and assign their roles.
- Create your first job, then start adding and tracking candidates.
