ChargeGuard is a native Android application focused on battery intelligence and charge protection, built entirely with Jetpack Compose and Material Design 3.

The Dashboard shows live charge percentage, charging state, and monitoring status through a clean circular progress view. From there, users can explore Battery Health, which reports current condition, temperature, and charge-cycle data, alongside a Capacity Trend view that tracks capacity behavior across charging sessions.

Habit Insights analyzes charging behavior over time and surfaces patterns as more sessions are recorded, helping users understand how they actually charge their device.

On the protection side, System Protection runs a background Smart Guard that actively monitors the battery, while Protection Alerts notifies users in real time about conditions such as high temperature or charging during peak hours, including exact percentage, temperature, connection type, and timestamp for every alert.

Configuration is handled through a dedicated Protection Settings screen covering:

- Safe Charge Limit: stop charging automatically at a chosen level (70% / 80% / 90% / 100%) to preserve long-term battery health.
- Battery Charge Alarm: a customizable alarm with adjustable threshold, alarm sound, vibration, repeat-until-dismissed behavior with configurable interval, and snooze duration.
- Thermal Control: overheat protection that throttles charging speed above a defined temperature.
- Automation: scheduled charging limited to off-peak hours.

The interface uses a consistent dark theme with a single accent color, card-based layouts, and clear status labeling throughout, in line with current Material 3 conventions.

Note: some battery metrics (such as exact capacity or charge-cycle counts) depend on the level of detail exposed by the underlying Android hardware and OS version. ChargeGuard clearly communicates when this data is limited by the device rather than showing inaccurate figures.

1. Extract the provided .zip file.
2. Open the project folder in Android Studio.
3. Let Gradle sync automatically (requires an internet connection on first run).
