AI FUNCTIONALITY DISCLOSURE

This item uses artificial intelligence. Coduo includes three AI-powered features: an in-lesson AI tutor ("Ask Cody"), AI-powered code review, and AI error explanation. These features call third-party large language model APIs through Firebase Cloud Functions.

- AI Tutor ("Ask Cody") — A conversational AI tutor available inside every lesson. Answers learner questions, explains concepts, and guides debugging.
- AI Code Reviewer — Provides structured, line-by-line feedback, a correctness rating, and improvement suggestions on a learner's submitted code.
- AI Error Explanation — Converts a runtime or compile error into a plain-English explanation.

These features are powered by Groq (primary), Google Gemini (fallback), and OpenAI (fallback), called server-side via Firebase Cloud Functions. You supply your own API keys for these providers; no AI provider keys are bundled with this item. AI features fall back to rule-based feedback automatically if no AI provider keys are configured. Any code or text a learner submits for review is transmitted to the selected provider's API for processing, subject to that provider's own data handling and privacy terms. AI features can be individually enabled or disabled from the admin panel at any time, and the app functions normally with them disabled.

GAMIFICATION ENGINE

A fully configurable gamification engine built specifically for coding education. Every lever, including XP, hearts, leagues, streaks, and gems, is tunable from the admin panel without touching code.

- Streak System — Daily streak tracking with fire animation and milestone celebrations. Streak Freeze tokens protect streaks on missed days. Streak repair within a configurable window.
- Hearts and XP — 5 hearts per session are deducted on wrong answers. XP is awarded for every lesson, exercise, challenge, and daily challenge completed. Full levelling system.
- League System — Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Diamond weekly leagues with promotions and demotions every Sunday. Weekly XP resets keep competition fresh and accessible.
- 40+ Achievements and Badges — Achievements across 7 categories with animated unlock celebrations. Badges display on public profiles and contribute to the Job Readiness Score.
- Gems and Cosmetics — Virtual gem currency earned through activity. Spend in the Gem Shop on streak freezes, hint reveals, avatar frames, and profile themes. All gem prices are configurable.
- Leaderboards and Social — 4-tab leaderboard: Weekly, All Time, League, and Following. Animated gold, silver, and bronze podium for top 3. Follow system, coding clubs, and public profile pages.

Admin Panel — Full Feature Breakdown:

- Content Management — Create and publish learning tracks, modules, and lessons from a visual tree editor. Attach concept cards, coding exercises, fill-in-the-blank tasks, and MCQs to any lesson. Set XP rewards, difficulty ratings, and prerequisite locks per module.
- Challenge Library — Build a library of standalone coding challenges. Each challenge supports multiple test cases, language selection, time limits, and difficulty tagging. Schedule them as daily challenges from a built-in calendar view.
- User Management — Search and filter the full user list by name, email, subscription tier, or join date. View each user's profile, XP total, streak, league rank, and subscription status. Manually grant or revoke premium access and assign editor roles.

EDITOR ROLE

Invite content creators, instructors, and subject matter experts to build out your curriculum without giving them access to user data, payments, or platform settings.

Editors Can:
Create and edit learning tracks, modules, and lessons. Build and manage standalone challenges and daily challenges. Add exercises, test cases, hints, and XP rewards. Schedule daily challenge calendar entries.

Editors Cannot:
Delete any content. Access the Users section. View payment transactions or revenue data. Change platform settings, gamification config, subscription plans, or AdMob settings. Only admins have access to those sections.

Editor Role — Full Feature Breakdown:

- Track and Module Builder — Create new learning tracks and organise them into modules with a drag-and-drop order editor. Set track titles, descriptions, skill level tags, language focus, and thumbnail images.
- Lesson Editor — A full rich-text lesson editor with support for code blocks, inline formatting, images, and PDF attachments. Each lesson can contain an ordered mix of concept cards, coding exercises, fill-in-the-blank tasks, and MCQs.
- Coding Exercise Builder — Write the problem statement, starter code, solution code, and up to 10 test cases per exercise. Select which programming languages are allowed and set a per-exercise time limit for execution.
- Challenge Builder — Build standalone coding challenges separate from the lesson curriculum. Define difficulty, expected time, and XP reward. Challenges can be published to the general library or scheduled as a daily challenge on a specific date.
- Daily Challenge Scheduler — A calendar view lets editors plan and assign daily challenges weeks in advance. Each calendar slot shows the challenge scheduled, its difficulty, and its XP value. Editors can swap, reschedule, or clear any date.
- XP and Hint Configuration — Set XP rewards individually for each lesson, exercise, and challenge. Write up to 3 progressive hints per exercise, each with its own gem cost. Hints are revealed one at a time so learners decide how much help they need.

PAYMENT GATEWAYS

Three payment methods to serve learners globally. Enable any combination from the admin panel without touching code.

- Stripe — Card payments with 3D Secure support. Full webhook integration for real-time payment confirmation. Test mode toggle in the admin panel.
- Paystack — Card and bank payments for the African market. Full webhook integration. Supports NGN, GHS, USD, and more.
- Bank Transfer — Manual bank transfer with proof-of-payment upload. Admin approves or rejects from the panel. Automatic notifications on both outcomes.

- Firebase (Blaze Plan) — Usage-based fees beyond the free tier. Most small apps pay $0/month.
- Stripe — Per-transaction processing fees, billed by Stripe directly.
- Paystack — Per-transaction processing fees, billed by Paystack directly.
- Judge0 — Usage-based API costs beyond the free RapidAPI tier.
- Groq, Gemini, OpenAI — Usage-based AI API costs beyond each provider's free tier.
- AdMob — Revenue share retained by Google on ad earnings.
- Apple Developer Account — $99 per year, required for iOS builds and App Store submission.
- Google Play Developer Account — $25 one-time fee, required for Android Play Store submission.

You are responsible for reviewing each provider's current pricing page and managing your own accounts and billing with them before deploying to production.

LICENSING AND MONETIZATION

The Regular License covers the core app features for personal or single-client use, where the end product is free to the end user. To earn revenue from users through Stripe, Paystack, AdMob, or AI features, you will need to purchase the Extended License. Please select the correct license before purchase.

- Mobile app and admin panel source code — Included in both Regular and Extended.
- Cloud Functions source code (TypeScript) — Included in both Regular and Extended.
- Use for a single end product, free to the end user — Permitted under both Regular and Extended.
- Monetize end users via Stripe, Paystack, AdMob, or AI features — Not permitted under Regular; Permitted under Extended.

All buyers receive the full source code, including the Firebase Cloud Functions. What differs between licenses is permitted use, not file access: monetizing the end product (charging users, running ads, or offering paid AI features) requires an Extended License, in line with standard licensing terms. Using monetization features under a Regular License is a violation of the license agreement regardless of whether the relevant files are present in your download.

REQUIREMENTS
The following tools, accounts, and services are required to build and deploy Coduo successfully.
- Flutter 3.x — Flutter 3.x and Dart 3.x or higher must be installed and configured on your development machine.
- Firebase Project (Blaze Plan) — The Blaze pay-as-you-go plan is required to deploy Cloud Functions. The free tier is very generous and most small apps pay nothing per month.
- Node.js 22 — Required for Firebase CLI and Cloud Functions deployment. Install via nvm for easy version management.
- IDE — Android Studio or VS Code with Flutter and Dart plugins installed. VS Code with the Flutter extension is recommended.
- Apple Developer Account — Required for iOS builds, Apple Sign-In, and App Store submission. Annual membership is $99/year.
- Google Play Developer Account — Required for Android Play Store submission. One-time registration fee of $25.
- Judge0 API Key (Optional) — Required to enable real code execution. Free tier available via RapidAPI. Self-hosting is also supported for unlimited executions.
- AI Provider Keys (Optional) — Groq (free tier: 14,400 requests/day), Gemini, or OpenAI. Groq alone is sufficient. AI features fall back gracefully if no keys are set.
