What is the TMT Contact Form Builder?
It is a premium WordPress plugin that allows you to create, design, and manage contact forms using a visual, real-time live preview builder. It completely removes the need for coding or navigating confusing backend menus.
Do I need any coding knowledge to use this plugin?
Absolutely not. TMT Form Builder was designed specifically for beginners and professionals alike. If you can click a button and type a question, you can build a beautiful form.
What are the system requirements?
You will need a WordPress installation, PHP 7.2 or higher, an active SSL certificate (HTTPS) to ensure data security, and standard web hosting.( generally its all included in wp hosting services)
How do I access the visual Form Builder?
Once the plugin is activated, look at the black menu on the left side of your WordPress dashboard. Click on TMT Form, and then click on Form Builder.
What is the difference between the left and right sidebars in the builder?
The left sidebar contains your controls—this is where you type your questions, edit settings, and add fields. The right sidebar is your Live Preview, which magically updates in real-time to show you exactly what your form looks like as you build it.
What types of questions (fields) can I add to my form?
You can add Short Text (for names/numbers), Email Addresses (forces a valid email format), Long Text Areas (for messages), Dropdown Menus (for selecting options), and Checkboxes (for agreements or newsletters).
Do I have to save my work?
Yes! The Live Preview is just a preview. Once you are happy with your form, you must click the big blue "Save To WordPress Database" button at the bottom of the left sidebar, or your changes will be lost.
How do I display the form on my live website?
You can display your form on any page or post using a simple shortcode: [tmt_contact_form theme="1"]. Just paste this into a Shortcode block in the WordPress editor and hit publish.
How do I change the design or colors of the form?
You do not need to write any CSS. Simply change the number inside the shortcode. For example, changing [tmt_contact_form theme="1"] to [tmt_contact_form theme="2"] instantly changes the entire design of the form.
How many themes are included?
The plugin comes with 30 unique, pre-loaded themes built directly into the software.
Does it include a Dark Mode?
Yes! Several of the 30 themes are designed specifically for dark backgrounds, including Theme 2 (standard dark mode), Theme 8 (hacker/neon green), and Theme 12 (minimalist dark).
Where do the messages go when a customer clicks send?
We use a "Double-Safety" system. First, the plugin sends an email notification directly to your inbox. Second, it securely saves a permanent copy of the message inside your WordPress database.
How do I change the email address that receives the notifications?
Go to your WordPress dashboard, click TMT Form > Settings, type your preferred email address into the box, and click Save. If you leave this blank, it will default to your main WordPress Admin email.
How do I view messages saved in the database?
In your WordPress dashboard, go to TMT Form > Submissions. Here you will see a safe, organized list of every message ever sent through your form.
How do I stop spam bots from filling out my form?
The plugin includes a built-in anti-spam feature. In the Form Builder's Global Settings, simply check the box that says "Enable Math CAPTCHA".
How does the Math CAPTCHA work?
It automatically adds a simple math question (like "What is 4 + 1?") to the bottom of your form. Real humans can answer this easily, but blind automated spam bots cannot read the math problem, so they fail the test and are blocked from your inbox.
Help! The form says "Success", but I am not receiving the emails in my inbox.
The plugin is not broken! If the message appears in your TMT Form > Submissions database but not in your email, your web host's server is failing to send it. Email providers like Gmail often block emails sent from cheap web hosts, assuming they are spam.
How do I fix the email delivery issue permanently?
You need to use an SMTP plugin. Go to Plugins > Add New, search for a free plugin called WP Mail SMTP, and install it. This allows WordPress to route your emails safely through official Google or Microsoft servers, guaranteeing 100% deliverability.
My live preview form looks broken or fields aren't working right. What happened?
Double-check your "Data Names" in the Form Builder. If you used capital letters or spaces (e.g., "First Name" instead of "first_name"), it can break the form's HTML structure. Fix the Data Name, click save, and refresh!
