Unlike subscription-based SaaS tools, SwiftInvoice runs completely offline on your local host (localhost/XAMPP) or on your private server. Your data remains 100% private, with no monthly subscription fees.

- PHP 7.4 or higher (supports PHP 8.x)

- PHP Extensions: PDO and pdo_mysql (active on standard hosting environments)
- Directory Write Permissions: Allowed on the root folder (to configure setup) and uploads/ folder (for product images).

Local Server Installation (XAMPP):

1. Extract the SwiftInvoice_Installer.zip file into your local htdocs folder (e.g. C:/xampp/htdocs/inv/).
2. Start Apache and MySQL in XAMPP.
3. Open your browser and navigate to http://localhost/inv/. You will be redirected to the web installer.
4. Input database connection details (Host: localhost, User: root, Password: leave empty) and click Install.
5. Delete the "install/" directory from your folder after installation.

Live Server Installation:
1. Upload the SwiftInvoice_Installer.zip to your cPanel File Manager or via FTP and extract it.
2. Create a MySQL database and user in your hosting control panel.
3. Visit the domain in your browser and complete the web installer fields.
4. Delete the "install/" directory after completion.
